On 7th of December, we celebrated the EEE day sponsored by CRY to facilitate a meaningful interaction between the employees of Avanse Finance Company (Education loans) and the underprivileged children from Jaipur’s slum areas with an aim to create a positive impact by promoting education, empowerment and social awareness among the participants
85 children form the slums of Jaipur participated accompanied by 7 volunteers cum stakeholders to make this program a success. During the event every individual was given a free chance to showcase their talent share opinion and get answers to their creative questions.
With an intent to express the gratitude, children from our slums first facilitated the employes with a rose and showcased the performances prepared for our guest starting with a group welcome song followed by 3 dance performance and a play on the topic of CLEANLINESS and finally a question-answer session, where children came up with different creative questions like one thing that you wanted to do for the welfare of the society? What would be your one super power? And many such questions that forced the employees to think about a lot of aspects of life like social responsibilities that they hold, setting an example towards the society, etc… that fades away in the hustling work life. Employees were given ample time to interact, take leadership in interacting with the children and indulge into various fun engaging activities.

We even created 4 activity corners namely Art corner, Dance corner, Dramatics corner and Games Corner where each corner had some pre-planned entertaining and indulgent activities each headed and guided by the team members. 2 dance experts were invited to teach our children some fun dance moves and Retired official from conservation of forest department Mr. Dilip who is working in State Resource Centre was kind enough to enlighten our children regarding the importance of organic farming and a visit regarding the same. This definitely helped the employees sensitize and feel more empathic towards the hardships that these children face. The children felt that it was a great opportunity of learning and exposure for them, they enjoyed interacting with the employees and receiving free books and gift brought a lot of joy to all of them. A collaborative support from everyone played a great role in making the whole event a big success.
